Homestead Exemption Applications, Income Forms and Information are now available on line at the websites listed below or in the Cheyenne County Assessor's Office for any new Homestead Applicants. Pre-printed Homestead paperwork for the tax year 2020 for anyone who received the Homestead Exemption in the previous year were mailed Monday, February 3, 2020. Beginning the first part of September 2020 and continuing thru February 2021, the Cheyenne County Assessor's Office will be conducting the required review of residential properties in Sidney and surrounding Villages. Reviews are required a minimum of once every six years. Changes made to structures may also warrant a need for more frequent reviews.
This year, in an effort to keep our staff and the public safer during the current COVID 19 health advisory, the external reviews will be conducted from driveways, sidewalks and alleyways. Property owners may review their property's information at .
We are sorry to inform you that Cheyenne County Assessor's Office was give notice on August 20th that Legislative Bill 1107 had its final reading. This bill eliminates the Personal Property Tax Relief Act. This means taxes would apply to the full value reported for the current tax year. The December tax statements will reflect this difference.
